With more than 20 years of experience in event planning, marketing, and community engagement, Zendipity founder Tami Johnson has helped deliver a wide range of events across the North. Explore some of the projects she's been proud to be part of.

  • Champions for Children / Edmonton Oilers Rookie Camp

    For more than 10 years, Tami served as Marketing Coordinator for Champions for Children and Team Lead for the Edmonton Oilers Rookie Camp in Yellowknife. These high-profile events welcomed more than 40 professional athletes and sports personalities, including Olympic athletes, up and coming professional athletes and many legends such as Pat Quinn. The event raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for KidSport and other northern organizations supporting children and families.

  • Nunavut Day Gala

    Tami helped plan and promote a 300-person gala in Iqaluit commemorating the 15th anniversary of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement. The celebration showcased northern culture through drumming, throat singing, storytelling and circus performances. Coordinating performers, programming and event logistics in a remote location required thoughtful planning, resourcefulness and close collaboration with local partners.

  • NWT Wellness Conference

    As a member of the NWT Wellness Society, Tami supported the planning and marketing of the 2015 NWT Wellness Conference as well as annual programming of events and workshops. The event brought people together through healing workshops, entertainment and creative wellness activities designed to encourage connection, learning and personal well-being. Tami also facilitated Zentangle workshops through the Society, introducing participants to a relaxing and accessible form of mindful creativity.

  • Come Make Your Mark

    Tami helped lead the Government of the Northwest Territories’ award-winning Come Make Your Mark national recruitment campaign, including promotional events and tradeshows across southern Canada. The campaign partnered with NWT youth ambassadors at universities and included the GNWT’s first social media recruitment campaign, inviting Canadians to discover the career opportunities and unique lifestyle available in the North.
